Virtual Workshop. Participants will receive logistics via email.
Description

The purpose of this workshop is to include a deliberate discussion of climate change and climate adaptation actions in the Six Rivers Hazardous Fuels & Fire Management Project EA. To do this, participants at this workshop will use the Adaptation Workbook and menus of Adaptation Strategies and Approaches (California Adaptation Menu, Fire-Adapted Ecosystems Menu, and Tribal Adaptation Menu) to:

  • Consider climate change impacts to the forest, climate vulnerabilities, and how those might influence desired future conditions.
  • Identify adaptation actions that help address climate vulnerabilities and meet desired future conditions.
  • Discuss where different adaptation actions may be applied across the Forest and how to monitor actions for success.

Workshop dates and purpose

This workshop will take place over three meeting dates (Meetings occur 9a-12p PT on September 22nd, September 29th, and October 1st.). Each workshop meeting covers various steps in the Adaptation Workbook process using facilitated breakout sessions and online activities. Please download a draft agenda here. A simplified summary of each workshop meeting is as follows:
