Courtney Peterson
Courtney is a Research Associate in the Forest and Rangeland Stewardship Department at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado where she serves as the Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change (ASCC) Coordinator. Courtney focuses on disseminating ASCC project findings and translating them into outreach and training opportunities with land managers and scientists working to manage forests for climate change adaptation.
She also serves more broadly as a climate adaptation specialist with the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science, supporting partners through assistance in climate science communication and adaptation planning, resources, and training. Courtney collaborates with partners in the Southwest and Intermountain West, particularly the USDA Southwest Climate Hub, to help natural resource professionals integrate climate change considerations into management planning and decision-making.
When she is not working, Courtney loves playing violin in a local volunteer orchestra, traveling the world to experience new places, and any outdoor adventure with her family and friends.
Courtney is a member of the American Society of Adaptation Professionals.
