Danielle Shannon
Danielle Shannon is a climate adaptation specialist and the coordinator of the USDA Northern Forests Climate Hub. Danielle helps land managers cope with and adapt to the challenges of climate change, particularly in the field of forest hydrology and the management of forested watersheds.
Most recently, Danielle colleagues are collaborating with wetland managers in Wisconsin to develop adaptation resources for forested and non-forested wetlands to climate change in the Midwest and Northeast regions. Before joining NIACS in 2011, she was in AmeriCorps NCCC and AmeriCorps VISTA serving communities in the eastern and southern regions of the U.S.
She has a M.S. from the University of Minnesota in Forest Hydrology and Watershed Management. Danielle is a member of the American Society of Adaptation Professionals.
